Hardin County- History

Hardin County, OH was formed in 1833 out of the county of Logan. The name for the county came from John Hardin who was a leader during the Revolutionary War, but was killed by Indians while going on a peace mission for George Washington. The county seat is located in Kenton.

I will begin tomorrow by covering the birth records in the county. Thank you again for your continued support of this site.
