The Ohio Genealogical Society is proud to announce the appointment of Derek S. Davey, of Toledo, as the liaison to the Records Preservation and Access Committee (RPAC). Derek will be interacting with librarians, archivists, legislators, and historians in preserving Ohio’s history and creating an environment that allows for free access to our Vital Records.
RPAC was created from National Organizations in the Genealogy world to educate and maintain our ability to have free access to Vital Records. Our Mission Statement: To advise the genealogical community on ensuring proper access to historical records of genealogical value in whatever media they are recorded, on means to affect legislation, and on supporting strong records preservation policies and practices.
