I am looking for a marriage record for Donald G. King to Marlys E.Jochumsen. They were married Aug.9, 1938 to 1940. They lived in Michigan but were married in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Does anyone know why in 1927 someone would leave the detroit area to get married in Bowling Green Ohio? I'm so confused by this....

It was common for folks to go to Bowling Green to get married, because the time for waiting to get married was much quicker. When love strikes some people could not wait.
