probate and land records. The Genealogical Proof
Standard (GPS) will also be discussed. Derek is an
active expert on Ancestry.com and specializes in
computer genealogy, Civil War, and New England
research. He holds a certification from Boston
University and is a member of the Assoc. of
Professional Genealogists, the Ohio Genealogical
Society, and Genealogical Speakers Guild.
